Transportation, Storage and Distribution Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our Supply Chain team on a permanent full-time basis within our Port Otago Warehouses, predominately based with our MDF/Timber team in Port Chalmers, Dunedin.
As a Warehouse Team Leader in our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in ensuring the delivery of operations for storage, receipt, and delivery of product.
- Leading start of shift toolbox talks.
- Assisting in labour allocation and resources including planning ahead and forecasting.
- Assist in the delivery of operational excellence, safety, and process improvements.
- Operating a forklift to help the team as required.
- Support and work at our other Warehouses across our Supply Chain team based at Port Chalmers, Sawyers Bay, Mosgiel and Dunedin Coldstores as required.
Hours will predominantly be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with some weekend and shift work depending on shipping and distribution schedules.
About You
Some of the qualities we are looking for:
- A true passion for Health & Safety including excellent personal safety standards.
- A current full driver’s license with F (Forklift) Endorsement and OSH Certificate.
- Confidence with computers as you will need to use our various systems.
- A demonstrated strong work ethic, availability, and timekeeping skills.
- Proven experience in a logistics and supply chain environment.
- Experience in managing and leading a small team, coupled with warehouse experience.
- Strong communication and team building skills.

- You must be able to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a medical which includes a drug and alcohol test as part of our recruitment process.

- You must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
